Block G8!



some of u probably know, that i was in rostock\heiligendamm this weekend.
unfortunatly i couldnt stay the whole week. a few friends are there, supporting the protests and trying to block g8.

for me and all the ppl up there in germanies north, who are taking many risks, this day is a succes. see the videos and fotos in the links below, read the articles if u are interested (they are gemran only, u can find lots of english stuff in the english media as well).

good time for having fun, but i still don't get why so many people protest against them, their the "leaders" on the 8 biggest industrial "facilities/countries" , there's nothing undemocratic about it.
Who else gonna take the responsability ?? u? the green political party like in my country that wanna close nuclear plants?????

Did u read those articles? G8 isnt really making world to a better place. It's just a way of taking advantage of developing countries. The sum G8 countries donate to "reduce poverty" is less than a percent of that advantage.

was du gesagt hats, würde ich pauschal auf alle dort vertretenden gruppen bestreiten.

erstmal muss man sich klar darüber sein, dass die menschen, die dort ihre eigene meinung und ihre organisation vertreten haben, ein riesiges spektrum von ansätzen vertreten. wenn man hier das wort "bewegung" in den mund nehmen will, dann nur mit dem zusatz heteronom. in dem demonstrationszug mit dem ich mitgelaufen bin (es gab 2) waren u.a. vertreten: mlpd, die linke, grüne jugend, antifa, hedonistische linke, go vegan, lesben block, social workers (gb), kommunistische partei italien, make capitalism history block, erlassjahr 2007, greanpeace, ökologische linke, landlosenbewegung (mit kleingruppen aus brasilien, argentinien), vereinzelte zapatistas usw..

jede dieser gruppen vertritt unterschiedliche standpunkte, aber unbegründet ist keiner. sie eint die unzufriedenheit über die politische gestaltung globaler prozesse und die überzeugung, dass die g8 ein gremium ist, das keine probleme löst.

zu mir. ich bin davon überzeugt, dass die minimale kritik an der g8 nicht ausreicht. die g8 löst keine probleme. das ist allerdings trivial, denn die g8 ist nicht dazu da probleme zu lösen. vielmehr ist sie selbst ein teil des problems. wenn die g8 beschließt für afrika mehr geld zur verfügung zu stellen, so ist das nur ein kleiner versuch ein paar wirkungen zu mildern und ein paar bürgerliche kritiker zufriedenzustellen. die ursachen selbst werden nicht angetastet.
prinzipiel demonstriere ich gar nicht so sehr gegen etwas, sondern für etwas. ich will zumindest freiräume kultureller und sozialer art erhalten, die nicht durch kapital strukturiert/rationalisiert werden. in denen menschen noch unabhängig von akkumulationsprozessen ihre umgebung und ihr leben gestalten können. für mich hat das auch etwas mit frei sein zu tun. in einer hyperkapitalisierten welt ist freiheit ein hohn. noch nicht mal menschen die unmengen an geld besitzen sind frei. ihr leben untersteht nämlich nicht ihren eigenen prämissen, sondern denen des kapitals.
